Disco

Well for the first post, because this week is all about planning the coming disco, some good feeling DISCO tracks...

First up, (not to be confused with the Jackson 5 siblings) the Jackson sisters. These ladies, Jacqueline. Lyn, Pat, Rae and Gennie had only modest success in the 70s, but had a better time a decade later in the rare groove scene From 1976, co-written and produced by Bobby Taylor, because i really DO believe in miracles....

Ashford & Simpson, husband & wife team had 2 careers. They penned tracks for Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin, they wrote "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and "You're All I Need To Get By" amongst many others... But they were also recording artists. They started in 1964 and their biggest hit was 1984's "Solid" This gem in 1979 comes from the album of the same name and I love it. Stay Free.

Slave produced this gem from the Lopez sisters and Tony Reynolds (Odyssey). Best known for 1977's Native New Yorker, this was 1982 and it makes me feel love, Inside Out.

in 1978 kleeer sacked their producers and started making music themselves. 1n 1979 they made some magic....Its Magic

From 1981, this is just a great track. This is a funkier mix than the one I normally listen to which is a bit more lighthearted...'and the devil's looking at me'
Faith and Fire, Vivian Reed
